The Nordic-NIAID Symposium on Antimicrobial Resistance
1-3 November 2010 in Copenhagen

Antimicrobial resistance is a severe societal problem. Its consequences are
often evident in hospitals, where infections in already weak patients are
life threatening.

Much research is being performed to address this problem, and now the
National Institute for Allergies and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), USA, is
visiting Scandinavia at the Nordic-NIAID Symposium on Antimicrobial
Resistance on 1-3 November 2010 in Copenhagen. The symposium venue will be
the Marriott hotel in Copenhagen.

American and Scandinavian researchers will explore possibilities for future
cooperation together with NIAID and the European Union. State-of-the-art
research will be presented and visionary new approaches to solving the
resistance problem will be explored.

The symposium is open for delegates from the Nordic countries and the US
with scientific interest in this area and there is a limit of 200 delegates.
Registration is free. There will be poster presentations apart from
presentations in four symposia, and there will be an exhibition area for
companies and other exhibitors.
