Framkvæmdastjórn Evrópusambandins óskar eftir sérfræðingum í ráðgjafahópa sem ætlað er að móta innihald og áherslur í næstu rannsóknaáætlun ESB, Horizon 2020. 

Markmiðið er að hvetja til aukins samráðs við hagsmunaaðila og sérfræðinga innan hvers fræðasviðs og munu fyrstu ráðgjafahóparnir taka til starfa vorið 2013. Mun þetta vera í fyrsta sinn sem framkvæmdastjórnin notar svo opna aðferð við að finna sérfræðinga til ráðgjafar og er þetta því kjörið tækifæri fyrir þá sem verða valdir til að hafa áhrif á mótun nýrrar rannsóknaáætlunar. 

Þeir sem áhuga hafa á að taka þátt í fyrstu umferð ráðgjafahópanna, þurfa að senda inn umsókn (Expression of interest) fyrir 6. mars 2013. Hóparnir munu síðan starfa samhliða áætluninni og endurnýjast reglulega. We would like to draw your attention to this opportunity:  <http://ec.europa.eu/research/horizon2020/index_en.cfm?pg=h2020-experts> European Commission’s call for expressions of interest for Horizon 2020 Expert Advisory Boards. A number of Boards will be established, focusing on different sections of Horizon 2020, with the first ones operational from spring 2013, so that they can provide input into the first Horizon 2020 calls. 

This is the first time that the Commission has used an open call of this type to constitute Advisory Boards, and it is an excellent opportunity for the selected experts to help shape the Horizon 2020 calls. These groups are expected to have considerable influence, and the opportunity to input into strategic planning at an early stage. 

Individuals can express their interest in either a personal or an institutional capacity. You may wish to disseminate this within your research community. We will also be promoting this to the agreed members of our Scientific Committees, as it would be ideal to have some of our Committee members also present in these Boards.

The deadline for expressions of interest for the first Boards is 6 March; however, the call will remain open for the duration of Horizon 2020, to allow for the Boards to be refreshed.
