Informetric Roadshow that visits Copenhagen in March 2004. Please note that
we, apart from PhD students, also welcome colleagues who are interested in
bibliometrics for the open sessions on Wednesday March 24. For those of you

10.15 - 11.00 The Basics of Bibliometrics / Professor Wolfgang Glänzel,

11.00 - 11.15 Coffee Break 
11.15 - 12.15 Bibliometrics and science evaluation / Wolfgang Glänzel 
12.15 - 13.15 Lunch break 
13.15 - 14.30 Bibliometrics and knowledge management / Professor Irene

Thursday 25 March, 2004 - Closed session supervision of PhD students' thesis
work, associated with informetric issues. Thesis plan and text to be sent in
advance to Irene Wormell (irene.wormell at hb.se), Wolfgang Glänzel
(Wolfgang.Glanzel at econ.kuleuven.ac.be), and Olle Persson
(olle.persson at soc.umu.se) from the PhD students - when their participation
has been acknowledged!

12.00 - 13.00 Lunch 
13.00 - 14.00 Further discussions (if required) 
14.00 - 14.15 Coffee break

The roadshow seminar is equivalent to 1 course ECTS.

Participation:
Pre-Registration is mandatory due to space allocation at the school.
Deadline for the registration to the open Roadshow on March 24 is by March
15 by e-mail to the organizer, Professor Peter Ingwersen (pi at db.dk). PhD
students should register to Peter Ingwersen already on March 8 at the latest
and - after acknowledgement - immediately, and no later than March 9, send
their thesis plan and project text, including a 1/2 page description of
research issues to be discussed by e-mail to the supervisors. PhD students
under the NORSLIS programme may apply for travel support to the NORSLIS
Board, i.e. Olle Persson, no later than March 9.
