Dear colleagues,

Iain Stewart has a flight to the US at 15:30 tomorrow Monday so we will hold his seminar at 11 in the third floor coffee room. I will be teaching in the afternoon but not the morning. Anyone interested in having a chat with him can find him in my office after 9 am.

The title of the talk is:
>> Between a Rock and a Hard Place: Communicating Contested Geoscience to the Public.

See you tomorrow,

Vala

Profile of Iain:
>> Iain is the Director of the Sustainable Earth Institute at the University of Plymouth and is very good at what many scientists are not: communicating Earth Sciences to the public.
>>
>> His talk is entitled: ‘Between a Rock and a Hard Place: Communicating Contested Geoscience to the Public’ - and for that I will book the seminar room on the third floor.
>>
>> Some refer to Iain as Geology´s rock star :)
>>
>> Here are a short descriptions of Iain, whom some of you may have seen on TV documentaries about Earth Sciences.
