Reminder that next Friday, March 10 is the spring conference of the
Geoscience Society of Iceland! And students can attend for free!

The abstract submission for oral or poster presentations has been extended
until lunchtime tomorrow! Please submit your abstract to Þorsteinn
Sæmundsson (steinis at hi.is). They can be in Icelandic or English.

The deadline to sign up for the conference itself is Wednesday, March 8
For those who want to sign up, send an email to Lúðvík E. Gústafsson (
ludvik.e.gustafsson at samband.is) with the following information :

1. Name
2. Address
3. Kennitala
4. Payer/project number (Here just put that you are a student at HÍ).
5. Are you a member of the Icelandic Geoscience society? (just yes or no).

Ég vil bara minna á væntanlega vorráðstefnu Jarðfræðafélags Íslands. Við
höfum framlengt frest til að skila inn ágripum fram á hádegi á fimmtudag
(það er á morgun). Ég vil hvetja ykkur til að skoða hvort þið hafið ekki
eitthvað áhugavert efni til að greina okkur frá og / eða að hvetja nemendur
ykkar til að senda inn ágrip. Án framlags frá ykkur þá er eins og þið vitið
þessum ráðstefnum sjálfhætt.



Dear all

I just want to remind you about the spring conference of the Geoscience
Society of Iceland which will take place on the 19th of March. It is very
important that as many of us and students participate. Students do get free
entrance so it is very good opportunity for them to introduce their study’s
and results either as oral or poster presentations. We have extended the
deadline for submission until lunch time tomorrow.
