[Folda] Alþjóðlegur framhaldsnemadagur í jarðhitafræðum

Kæru framhaldsnemar

Síðasta vetur var haldinn ráðstefna í Postdam fyrir framhaldsnema í
jarðhitafræðum. Alls tóku 8 framhaldsnemar frá Íslandi þátt í ráðstefnunni
en þar voru nemendur úr jarðvísindum, verkfræði, umhverfisvísindum,
viðskiptagreinum og fleiri áttum mættir.

Nú ætlum við að endurtaka leikinn á Íslandi 1. - 2. mars næstkomandi.

Markmiðið er að fá alla framhaldsnemendur sem á einhvern hátt eru að vinna
að verkefnum tengdum jarðhita til að taka þátt.

Eftirfarandi er tilkynning sem send hefur verið á þá sem tóku þátt síðast.

Hello everybody
Following the success of the first European Geothermal PhD day held in
Potsdam last February, a group of Icelandic students is now organizing the
next event.
The event will take place in Reykjavik on the 1st- 2nd of March 2011. PhD
– students working in the field of geothermal research are all invited to
take part, not only students of geosciences, but also  from engineering,
chemistry, business, law, etc.
The plan is to have a conference with a short presentation from each
participant as well as a poster session. We will also visit companies in
Reykjavik that work on different aspects of geothermal.
It’s our hope that this event will be as successful as the last one, where
students from around the globe contributed and helped establishing this
network in geothermal research.
A more detailed program will be published very soon.
Participation in the 2 day program will be free of charge.

Participants will also have the opportunity to take part in an overnight
fieldtrip that starts on the 3rd of March. The charge of the trip will
depend on funding and group size.
