[English] Bog cards and Náman membership!!!

To all of you hard working English students studying at this very moment,
and absolutely not checking your mail, please read this very carefully
(even if it is quite a long email)!

As some of you know, special membership cards are issued by the BOG board
every year. These cards are called BOG cards and provide you with a number
of discounts which I will now explain.
Firstly, they cost only this tiny amount of 1700 kr. and anyone with a Bog
card only has to pay the bus fare on a couple of occasions when going on a
buffalo trip, although it will almost always be free. The bus fare cost
will only apply when going on longer trips, because then the bus rent will
go up. Non-bog card owners will have to pay 1000 kr. So just after two
buffalo trips you will have saved up for your bog card and since there
will be about 10 buffalo trips, you can see it is a bargain!!!
Secondly, a bog card holder will get 50 % off to any other events.
Especially, the Halloween dance and the Yearly Smash. Let’s say that the
ticket to the Halloween dance will be 2000 kr. for non-bog card owners,
and then the price will be only 1000 kr for those with a bog card. The
same, of course, applies to the Yearly Smash and any other event.
Thirdly, by showing your Bog card at the bar at Celtic Cross you will get
this deal:
0.5l tuborg= 400 kr.
1l tuborg= 900 kr.
Vine= 400 kr.
Jaagermeister/ appleschnaps shots= 300 kr.
2 for 1 of Smirnoff Ice/ Black Ice
And 15% off all coffee beverages.

Furthermore to all of these great benefits of the Bog card, are the
benefits of being a member of the Náman club at Landsbanki Íslands.
Landsbankinn is Bog’s main sponsor and therefore they are offering a great
deal to anyone in the English department. In addition to the great service
and benefits the Náman club gives to any student who is a member, anyone
who is a member in Náman will get this great deal:
A 500 kr. discount to the Halloween dance.
A 1000 kr. discount to the Yearly Smash.
So, if you are a member in Náman and have a Bog card, you get both 50% off
and this extra 500 kr. or to the Yearly Smash, extra 1000 kr.
Also, The Bog board will receive a certain payment after a certain number
of people have signed up for Náman, and that money of course comes back to
you in form of more free beer or cheaper tickets to events etc. Some time
this week or next, representatives from Landsbankinn will be available to
you right after class if you have any questions for them. It is no trouble
at all starting a Náman account, they take care of most of it for you, and
I can tell you from my own experience that the people at Melaútibú, which
is Bog’s branch(and mine), are absolutely wonderful and more than willing
to help you with anything you need regarding your bank matters.

Finally, let’s get down to business. You have a chance to register for bog
cards for the next 10 days. All you have to do is send me an email telling
me your name and kennitala along with your mobile number. Some days later,
I will bring your Bog cards to class and receive and receive your payment.
You can pay both by card and cash. So, hope all of you will bay this
