CHIIR (pronounced “cheer”) provides a forum for the
dissemination and discussion of research on the user-centered
aspects of
information interaction and information retrieval. Find more
information about
CHIIR here: http://sigir.org/chiir2018/

Short Papers should report on original,
significant,
high-quality research. A short paper is likely to present a more
focused study,
and tends to make a smaller scope of contribution to the research
program than
full papers. For example, reporting on work in progress,
preliminary research
analysis, or late-breaking results may be suitable for Short
Papers.

This might
be a good venue for those researchers who are new to the CHIIR
community to
become familiar with the field.

Accepted short papers will be published in the
proceedings, and presented as posters at the conference.
