The ninth annual iConference will take place 4-7 March, 2014, in Berlin,<br>
Germany. The four days will include peer-reviewed Papers, Notes, Posters,<br>
Workshops and Sessions for Interaction and Engagement. Also included are a<br>
Doctoral Student Colloquium and an Early Career Colloquium. Keynote addresses<br>
will be given by Tony Hey of Microsoft Research and Melissa Terras of the<br>
Department of Information Studies, University College London.<br>

Presented by the iSchools organization (</span><span style="font-family:"Arial","sans-serif""><a href="http://www.ischools.org" target="_blank"><span lang="EN-US">www.ischools.org</span></a></span><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family:"Arial","sans-serif"">),
the iConference is<br>
an annual gathering of information scholars and researchers from around the<br>
world who share a common concern about critical information issues in<br>
contemporary society. All are invited to participate; affiliation with the<br>
iSchools is not a prerequisite.<br>
<br>
iConference 2014 is hosted by Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin; its program is<br>
administered by the Royal School of Library and Information Science,<br>
University of Copenhagen. Microsoft Research is a presenting sponsor. The<br>
official proceedings will be published in the IDEALS open repository (Illinois<br>
Digital Environment for Access to Learning and Scholarship).<br>

The following is a brief overview; please visit our website for complete<br>
submissions guidelines. Authors are discouraged from submitting the same<br>
research to different conference submission categories. For example, authors<br>
should not submit the same research as a Note and a Poster. Duplicate<br>
