PhD Position in Information Science</b><br>
<br>
The Royal School of Library and Information Science, Denmark, is
pleased to announce that a PhD scholarship will be available from
December 1, 2012, or as soon as possible thereafter. Applications
are invited for a three-year scholarship from candidates that hold
or expect to hold a Master degree in a field relevant to the study
of information. The main objective of the project is to explore the
conceptual and theoretical foundation of information work and
practice as they are conceived in contemporary society. The basis
for the exploration shall be based in one or more of the following
areas:<br>
<br>
· Social and mobile media<br>
· Citizens and/vs organizations, institutions and associations<br>
· Media and information ethics<br>
· Cultural diversity in late modern societies<br>
· Philosophy of information and knowledge<br>
<br>
The successful applicant will have the opportunity to work with a
number of leading scholars in a supportive, collaborative, and
intensive research environment.
