The University Library at the University of Bergen announces the 15th Nordic Workshop on Bibliometrics and Research Policy.<br /> <br />
28-29 September 2010<br /> <br />
at the University of Bergen, Norway<br /> <br />
Bibliometric researchers in the Nordic countries have arranged annual Nordic workshops on bibliometrics since 1996. The general idea of the workshop is to present recent bibliometric research in the Nordic countries and to create better linkages between bibliometric research groups and their PhD students. The workshop language is English and the workshop is open to participants from any nation. The workshop is also open to participants who wish to take part without presenting. There are no fees for participating in the Nordic workshops on bibliometrics. However, travel, accommodation and all meals have to be financed by the participants themselves.<br /> <br />
Program schedule:<br />
Tuesday 28th September<br />
10.00-11.30: Pre-workshop presentation: Introduction to bibliometrics (in Norwegian).<br />
12.00 Opening of workshop<br />
12.15-16.30: Presentations<br />
18.00: Workshop dinner at Ulriken 643 mountain restaurant<br />
Wednesday 29th September<br />
09.00-16.00: Presentations<br />
16.00: Closing of workshop<br /> <br />
