We are looking for an excellent candidate to fill the position of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor in the field of Artificial Intelligence and Media.

The appointed position will be based in the Communication Sciences <https://www.tuni.fi/en/about-us/communication-sciences#switcher-trigger-research> Unit at The Faculty of Information Technology and Communication Sciences<https://www.tuni.fi/en/about-us/faculty-information-technology-and-communication-sciences> at Tampere University.

We are searching for a scholar whose research focuses on interaction between artificial intelligence and media and who primarily seeks to make contributions to media research or other closely related fields.  The candidate to be selected for the position can apply artificial intelligence and related methods in media research and study the impact of AI on society, media users, journalism, media management, media psychology, media culture, or politics in media, for example.
In other words, we are searching for a candidate who simultaneously has experience in applying generative AI and large language models and is well-versed in key approaches and methods in communication sciences to lead, conduct and teach interdisciplinary research.
