Call for Papers --- NJLIS thematic issue: Library and information studies in the climate crisis

Dear colleagues,

The Nordic Journal of Library and Information Studies, NJLIS, now welcomes submissions offering empirical, theoretical and/or historical perspectives related to environmental and climate themed library and information-oriented research. Themes of interest include, but are not restricted to:

  *   Green libraries/sustainable libraries
  *   Climate-neutral library activities
  *   Search engines and environmental information
  *   Environmental information practices
  *   Environmental literacy
  *   Environmental policy and libraries
  *   Volunteer initiatives and environmental information
  *   Collections of literature on climate and environmental issues
  *   Patrons and environmental information
  *   Visualising/modelling environmental issues
  *   The role of algorithmic platforms in shaping environmental information
  *   Climate change denialism
  *   Mis/dis/malinformation and the environment
  *   Information avoidance and climate change

This is a call for papers to the journal’s seventh issue, which is a theme issue due to be published in June 2023. Deadline for full papers: February 28, 2023.
