The candidate may have a background from any field relevant to their research project (including but not limited to Library Studies, Computer Science, Data Science, STS, or Philosophy).

The candidate will be supervised by philosophers at INN, but can also draw on expertise from a wider pool of researchers inside and outside the institution. The research proposal may (but need not) name potential external co-supervisors.

A candidate with a relevant project will have the opportunity for collaboration with the PhilPapers foundation (http://philpapers.org<https://philpapers.org/>), co-directed by David Chalmers and David Bourget, which has contributed and continues to work on a number of innovations to the field of philosophy. There will also be the opportunity for collaboration with Scite (https://scite.ai/), which offers a new system for citation verification.
