WHAT
We invite you to participate in a 1-day workshop focused on Web of Science 
citation data, APIs, and system integration. This will be an interactive, 
lively, and informal workshop where the Clarivate Analytics Web of Science 
team, along with customers and partners, will discuss the Web of Science 
citation network as a research dataset, share examples and experiences using 
APIs, and integrating Web of Science data with other systems. As well, use 
cases of innovation and research projects using Web of Science data from 
around the world will be presented along with both an overview of emerging 
trends in big data citation analytics and the ways that Clarivate Analytics 
are leveraging and embracing these technologies.

The use case for the Web of Science Core Collection as a search and discovery 
tool is well-established at thousands of institutions worldwide. But the use 
of its high-quality metadata outside of the platform for big data 
citation-based studies is still emerging. When researchers need to study 
science, technology, and innovation trends, they turn to the Web of Science 
Core Collection as the only comprehensive citation source to provide over 
100 years of consistent, global publication data.

WHAT'S NEXT
Immediately after the workshop Dr. Gunnar Sivertsen (NIFU/STEP, Oslo) gives a 
talk in the Humanomics research centre talk series on 'New ideas in Humanities'. 
The title of the talk is "The Societal Impact of the Humanities in Norway" and 
it takes place on June 14, 2017 between 16:15 and 18:00 also in room 3.084A.
