[NORSLIS] PhD course in Dynamics of Knowledge Organization starting 6 December, University of Borås, Sweden

The Swedish School of Library and Information Science at the University
of Borås

 in Sweden will be offering a PhD-level course in Dynamics of Knowledge
Organization that you, your colleagues, or students at Uppsala
University may find of interest. Please feel free to share this
information with those who may wish to participate. 
This is an advanced level course that has been developed in association
with the EU-funded research project PERICLES
( http://pericles-project.eu/) . Those who wish to participate in the
course should be familiar with at least two out of the following related
topics: knowledge organization, information retrieval, general
linguistics, and geometry at a Master’s level.

Please note: 
	●  The course tempo is half speed. 
	●  The course will start 6 December 2016. 
	●  Deadline for registration (or at least declaration of
intention to register) is 22 November. 
	●  In case of five or more students, the course will be
offered in full format with an one-time on-location 2-3 day visit to
Borås, Sweden (residential period) planned for the week of 16 January
2017. 
	●  In case of four or fewer students, a revised version in the
form of a reading course could be arranged (if of interest).
