Dear Colleagues,

 

We wish you all a very happy New Year. We hope to see you all this year at
ECIL Conference in Istanbul. 

 

Some updates about ECIL:

 

Ms Irina Bokova, General Director of UNESCO, granted the UNESCO patronage to
ECIL. We are now authorized to use UNESCO's name and logo. Furthermore, Dr.
Indrajit Banerjee, Director of the Knowledge Societies Division accepted to
deliver a keynote speech at the Conference. Ms. Irmgarda
Kasinskaite-Buddeberg, of the same division, will represent UNESCO at the
Standing Committee.

 

Please find attached the final call for papers for details. We will
appreciate very much if you can distribute this last call. 

 

1st February is the deadline for abstract submission. Full-texts for
accepted abstracts will be submitted by 15th of May and will go through a
second review to be published in the Proceedings Book. Conference
Proceedings Book will be published by Springer under its CCIS series which
is indexed by ISI Proceedings, Scopus and other Indexes.

 

We look forward to hearing from you soon and hoping to receive your
proposals.
