ICTIR 2013, first Call for Participation

The 4th International Conference on the Theory of Information
Retrieval (ICTIR 2013) - in cooperation with ACM SIGIR
http://ictir2013.org

29 September - 2 October, 2013, University of Copenhagen, Denmark

*** Early bird deadline 31 August 2013 ***

The International Conference on the Theory of Information
Retrieval (ICTIR) aims to provide a forum for discussion and
interaction among those with theoretical and applicative
research interests in mathematical/formal aspects of
Information Retrieval (IR).

We have a very strong program of keynotes, scientific papers, tutorials
and a panel discussion - all by key researchers in the field. For details
of the technical Program see http://ictir2013.org/conferenceprogram.html.
Note that tutorials are included in the registration fee to allow both
students and senior researchers to attend and debate the tutorial themes.

Keith van Rijsbergen, University of Cambridge
* Is there Space for Theory in Modern Search Engines? by
  Ricardo Baeza-Yates, Yahoo! Research
