please spread the word to your local LIS mailing lists.
The program for this year's Topic Maps Users Conference in Oslo,
Norway on April 2-4 2008 has now been published and registration for
the conference is now open.
The conference theme is
"Towards the Vision of Subject-Centric Computing"
and the program offers both excellent tutorials and an impressive
variety of case studies showing how Topic Maps is applied around the
world in different areas. There really is something for everyone!
This year's conference should be of particular interest to library and
information science professional. Among the content is a tutorial aimed
at this group and interesting presentations on the coupling of topic
maps, Marc and FRBR/RDA.
In addition, great keynote speakers are lined up: David Weinberger,
author of "Everything is miscellaneous", and Alex Wright, author of
"Glut: Mastering Information Through the Ages", as well as Steve Pepper,
author of "The TAO of Topic Maps".
