The Swedish School of Library and Information Science (SSLIS)  is
announcing a position as
University Professor of Library and Information Science (full or
associate professorship)

Fulltime, conditional tenure 
Place of work: Borås, Sweden 
Registration nr: 169-08-40 

The department of Library and Information Science searches a professor,
full or associate, with a comprehensive and well documented experience
of research and education. Work responsibilities include teaching at the
undergraduate, master*s and Ph.D. levels, conducting and publishing
research, and supervising doctoral students. We expect the successful
applicant to be able to contribute to the development of educational
programs, research and research image of the department and the
University College. We also expect the successful applicant to have
contacts and co-operation with companies and organisations from the
professional field. Usually, teaching and Ph.D. student supervision
correspond to about 50 percent of the employment for a full professor
and 75 percent for an associate professor. 

Applicants should have a doctoral degree in library and information
science or a closely related area. Formal requirements for a professor
include documented skill in research and teaching methods.
