[NORSLIS] Excellent News from Uppsala

Dear all,

I'm delighted to be able to announce that the research program  
"Culture, Creativity, Copyright: the Making and (un)Making of  
Cultural Heritage" - link to further information here: http:// 
www.konstvet.uu.se/KV/Forskning/Culture_creativity_copyright/  which  
I lead from the Department of ALM at Uppsala has received funds from  
the EU 7th Framework Program "Cooperation" as part of an Consortium  
entitled COUNTER. We'll be working together with collegues in the UK,  
Austria, and Italy. I'll be leading a work package entitled  
"Copyright and Collaborative Practices" to study the role of  
copyright and cultural heritage institutions as well as the impact on  
higher education.

Next Friday, we'll have an international conference entitled "Using  
Fairly" as part of this program. I'm also sending information about  
this event http://www.konstvet.uu.se/KV/Forskning/ 
Culture_creativity_copyright/Conference_Using_Fairly/ and strongly  
encourange anyone in the NORSLIS community interested in these issues  
to contact me directly, or perhaps even attend the conference.
