NORSLIS Ph.D. Course Announcement
This spring we are pleased to once again offer the course, Research Design I: Theory Development.
The purpose of this course is to promote the understanding and knowledge of theory
use and development within information and library science research.
Different theoretical paradigms will be examined, and the use and development
of theory in current research will be discussed. Students will have the opportunity to
synthesize theories into theoretical frameworks for their chosen research focus.
Instructors include:
Professor Diane Sonnenwald, Swedish School of Library and Information Science
Professor Mei-Mei Wu, National Taiwan Normal University
Professor Shan-Ju Chang, National Taiwan University
Additional guest lecturers will be announced at a later date.
The course will be held in Borås, Sweden May 20-25, 2007.
Details regarding the course (and course location) will be published early in 2007.
Students can apply for the course and travel funds through
the NORSLIS web site, http://www.norslis.net.
Because this course was over-subscribed when it was last offered in 2004,
students should considering applying early.
