[NORSLIS] Welcome

Dear collegues and friends,
I do hope that this NORSLIS listserv will become a useful tool for us to 
exchange information and ideas related to our field and our research school.

Friday last week we got the message from NorFA that they will support the 
school for five years and according to our plan. First of all I want to 
thank all of you for having contributed to the planning of the school and 
for showing interest in taking part in its activities.

We plan to have a web-site set up as soon as possible, even before the 
offcial start of the school on the 1st of January 2004. Anne Clyde is the 
webmaster and will put up important information about coming courses, 
contact persons, dates and locations. Therefore I ask all of you to send 
data to Anne about such basic matters. Then for each activity it might be a 
good idea to have links to pages that each resposible persons manage at 
their own web-sites and that contains more detailed information about the 
program, course literature etc. I think it would be unpractical to put all 
information on the NORSLIS site, which would mean a duplication of work and 
it will take time to update things.

Well, the work has just started and you will soon see things coming up on 
the web.
