<br><font color="#4100c2" size="3">The mission of SOMED2013 is to present scientific
achievements and research advances in the field of microbial ecology and
its relation to diseases. SOMED2013 provides a comprehensive scientific
forum to all stakeholders of microbial ecology in health and disease. The
three day conference is a networking event for scientists, researchers
and technology providers. The conference will also provide a platform for
scientific exchange and discussion between delegates from worldwide academia
and industry.</font>

<br><font color="#4100c2" size="3">Focus areas are current advances in clinical
microbiology, dietary modulation of the GIT ecosystem, the effect of antibiotics
on microbial ecology, host microbe interactions and the role of biofilms
in health and disease. It is the goal of SOMED2013 to further develop the
understanding of the complexity of microbial ecology in relation to diseases,
and to explore how to transform research findings to practical tools and
applications in order to promote health and prevent disease. The congress
is a unique opportunity to meet leading and internationally renowned scientists,
researchers who bring forward the understanding of the role of microbial
ecology in health and disease.</font>
