Eitt af því sem ég vonast eftir að ráðstefnan skili af sér er að erlendu gestirnir fái næga innsýn í náttúru Íslands og þær rannsóknir sem í gangi eru hér á landi til að geta tekið virkan þátt í vali viðfangsefna og sýnatökustaða fyrir sumarnámskeið í örveruvistfræði sem haldin verða sumrin 2012, 2013 og 2014. Við höfum því ekki eingöngu áhuga á erindum um örverufræði, heldur einnig um vistfræði, jarðfræði, jöklafræði, umhverfisefnafræði og sitthvað fleira. Ef þið vitið um skemmtileg verkefni sem í gangi eru og tengst geta áhugaverðum örveruvistkerfum í náttúru Íslands megið þið gjarnan láta mig vita. Jaðarvistkerfi á borð við jökulís, hraunhella, hveri o.fl. munu örugglega vekja mikinn áhuga hjá erlendu gestunum, en ég ve!
