The CHRO Conference 2013 is suited to all professionals studying
Campylobacter, Helicobacter and related organisms, including professors and
researchers from universities, government, and industry, public health
epidemiologists, postdoctoral fellows, graduate students, veterinarians,
and physicians. It is the leading international conference, where cutting
edge research meets medicine, industry and policy. This conference returns
to Europe for the first time in 6 years, where more than 600 participants
are expected. This will be a unique opportunity to see the recent
groundbreaking developments on these important pathogens.
*Themes*
- What have we learnt from 30 years of CHRO research?
- Which CHRO organisms will be of biggest global concern in 10 years
time?
- How do we minimise the disease burden of CHRO?
- How will omics and systems biology transform CHRO research and
understanding?
*Call for Papers*
The organisers of CHRO 2013 invite prospective participants to submit
abstracts of up to *250 words* for Oral and /or Poster presentations in the
following themes:**
1. Pathogenesis: Host response and host cell interactions, glycobiology,
virulence, immunity
2. Sequelae: IBD, GBS, non-gastric helicobacters
3. Treatment/Therapeutics: Guidelines for the management of *H. pylori
* infection (Maastricht), antibiotic treatment and resistance
4. Epidemiology: Human, animal, disappearance of *Helicobacter*,
international, surveillance of CHRO, source attribution, outbreaks,
seasonality
5. Evolution: Diversity, emergence and speciation
6. Ecology: Human, animal, environment, survival
7. Current advances in ‘omics: WGS, metagenomics, proteomics,
metabolomics, transcriptomics
8. Control of CHRO: Interventions to reduce *Campylobacter* incidence
from farm to fork, risk assessment, vaccination, phage
9. Rapid methods for detection of CHRO
10. Hot Topics
How to Submit an Abstract
The abstract submission process is handled by Oxford Abstracts - you will
be asked to set up a password which you can use to access and update your
submission until the closing deadline. Please also note your abstract
submission number and quote this in all conference correspondence. Please
submit your abstract using the appropriate links at the CHRO 2013 website
