[Gandur] CFP: 8TH INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE OF YOUNG FOLKLORISTS

Dear Colleagues!

We are pleased to announce the 8th International Conference of Young Folklorists "Reflecting on Disciplinary Ethics in Folkloristics" taking place in Riga, September 19-21, 2018. The 2018 conference will be the eighth of its kind, aiming to foster academic collaboration and communication in the field of folkloristics, inviting students, recently graduated scholars and anyone who considers themselves to be a young folklorist to present their research. The topic of the 2018 conference invites contributions that address the questions of ethics in folkloristics. For further information, please see the attachment, which you are most welcome to share and forward to anyone who might be interested.

The conference is organized by the Institute of Literature, Folklore and Art <http://lulfmi.lv/en/news>, Archives of Latvian Folklore <http://en.lfk.lv/lfk/our-days>. The conference will be held at the Conference Centre of the National Library of Latvia <https://lnb.lv/en/conference-and-events-premises/conference-centre>.

Applicants are invited to email the preliminary title of their presentation by March 1, 2018, and to send their abstracts (max 250 words) by May 2, 2018, to yofo2018 at gmail.com <mailto:yofo2018 at gmail.com>. Please include your name, institutional affiliation, position, and contact information. All prospective presenters will be notified by e-mail by June 1, 2018. 

More information regarding the keynote speakers will be sent later. There is no registration fee, but participants are expected to cover their own travel and accommodation expenses.
