*Frestur til að skrá þátttöku og ágrip á Þjóðarspegilinn XVII hefur 
verið framlengdur til og með* *_26. júní næstkomandi_*. Við hvetjum alla

*Vilt þú taka þátt í Þjóðarspeglinum XVII?*

Þjóðarspegillinn XVII: Ráðstefna í félagsvísindum//verður haldinn 
föstudaginn *_28. október 2016_* við Háskóla Íslands. Ráðstefnunni er 
ætlað að kynna og miðla því sem efst er á baugi í rannsóknum á sviði 
félagsvísinda á Íslandi. Áhugasömum fræðimönnum og sérfræðingum á sviði 
félagsvísinda er boðið að senda inn *200* orða ágrip fyrir *_26. júní_ 
*næstkomandi. Ágripið þarf að innihalda stutta lýsingu á markmiði 
rannsóknar, aðferðum og helstu niðurstöðum eða lærdómi. Öll ágripin munu 
birtast í heild sinni á_heimasíðu Þjóðarspegilsins_

Skráning fer fram rafrænt. Þátttakendur skrá sig til leiks á_heimasíðu

möguleikum á rafrænu skráningarformi:

a) _Flytja erindi á Þjóðarspeglinum XVII án þess að skila grein._

b) _Flytja erindi á Þjóðarspeglinum XVII og skila grein til ritstýringar 
*fyrir 1. september 2016*_ sem verður birt í Skemmunni.

c) _Flytja erindi á Þjóðarspeglinum XVII og skila í framhaldi grein í 
innlent eða erlent ritrýnt tímarit að eigin vali._

Staðfesting ritstjóra um samþykkt eða höfnun ágrips verður send til 
höfunda í *júlí 2016*.

Í ágúst verður kallað eftir tillögum að *_veggspjöldum_*. Höfundum 
veggspjalda verður boðið að vera með*_örkynningu_* á rannsókn/verkefni 
sínu. Nánari upplýsingar verða birtar þegar nær dregur.

Af gefnu tilefni er leiðbeinendum framhaldsnema bent á að þetta er góð 
leið til að kynna framúrskarandi lokaverkefni á meistara- eða 
doktorsstigi. Athugið að ekki er gerð krafa um að leiðbeinendur séu 
meðhöfundar meistaranema að veggspjöldum. *

Vinsamlegast athugið eftirfarandi:*

·        Hver og einn getur aðeins verið höfundur að tveimur erindum, 
aðalhöfundur að einu og meðhöfundur að öðru, óháð fræðasviði og formi 
þátttöku.

·        Leiðbeinendur skulu vera meðhöfundar erinda/greina sem byggja á 
meistaraverkefnum.

·        Skila má tillögum að málstofum með fjórum erindum á netfangið 
_thjodarspegillinn at hi.is_ <mailto:thjodarspegillinn at hi.is>(athugið að 
allir höfundar verða þó að skrá sig rafrænt).

*Do you want to participate in Þjóðarspegillinn XVII?*

Þjóðarspegillinn XVII: Conference in Social Sciences, will be held at 
the University of Iceland on the *_28th of October 2016_*. The 
conference is an annual research conference that aims to introduce and 
share interesting research material from a broad spectrum within the 
Social Sciences in Iceland.

Scholars, professionals and other specialists in the field of Social 
Sciences are encouraged to send in an abstract (ca. *200 words*) 
*_before 26th of June 2016_*. The abstract should address the purpose, 
methods and implication of the scholarly work. All accepted abstracts 
will ultimately be published online in a full version on the _conference 
website_

sending in an article to be edited_. The deadline is the *1st of 
September 2016* and the paper will be published online (skemman.is).

c) _Presentation at the conference (Þjóðarspegillinn XVII), as well as 
sending in an article to a peer-reviewed journal of one´s choice_.

Authors will be notified by email in *July 2016* on whether their 
abstract has been accepted or rejected.

*A call for posters will be announced in August*. Authors of posters 
will be invited to have a short presentation of their research/paper. 
Further information will be announced later.

Supervisors of graduate students should bear in mind that this is a 
unique opportunity to promote outstanding papers at master's or doctoral 
level.

Please note that it is not required that supervisors are co-authors of 
posters.

·        Each person can only be an author of two presentations, as a 
lead author of one and a co-author of another, regardless of the field 
of study and form of participation.

·        Supervisors must be co-authors of presentations/papers based on 
master projects.

·        Suggestions for themes (with up to four presentations) can be
