For over a decade now, the Humour Summer School 2012 has brought together
outstanding programmes of speakers and delegate symposia. This year is no
exception. Designed not only to fit the needs of new students and
researchers preparing for careers that would be enhanced by a deeper
knowledge of humour and laughter (in dimensions ranging from the
philosophical through the physiological to the practical) the programme is
also appealing to established scholars. The Summer School supports all
fields of humour research and offers something for all those interested in
all aspects of humour research and its application. The delegate symposium
is a popular session within the week when the Summer School participants
have the opportunity to present their own work. Meet the lecturers give you
the opportunity to have one-to-one talks with the speakers.

*Among the lecturers* are
Christie Davies (University of Reading)
Jessica Milner Davis (University of Sydney)
Seppo Knuuttila (University of Eastern Finland)
Liisi Laineste (Estonian Literary Museum)
Gina Mireault (Johnson State College, Vermont)
Graeme Ritchie (University of Aberdeen)
Willibald Ruch (University of Zurich)
Sven Svebak (Norwegian University of Science and Technology, Trondheim)

See the website for full details of the programme.
