Hi,

There are still spaces for people who interested in being a student representative. As a representative, you will be able to represent students around you, make sure the issues you heard can be heard and discussed. 

We need at least two Master and two PhD students to be the representatives for faculty meetings, as well as two Master and two PhD students as deputies. Representatives are supposed to attend all the faculty meetings. However, if you have classes, fieldtrips or out of country during any one of these Faculty meetings, we are also allowed substitutes.  

If you are interested in becoming a representative or deputies, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Hello everyone,

Student representatives are invited to the Faculty of Earth Science meetings, which are held throughout the course of the academic year. It is important for us to be represented as various points regarding teaching, research, administration and so on are put on the agenda, discussed and voted on. This is also the platform where we can make sure any issues that we may have are heard and discussed.

This year, we need four representatives to be at the meetings - ideally at least two Masters and two PhDs. As many of us might be in class, in the field or out of the country during any one of these Faculty meetings, we are also allowed substitutes. 

Therefore, I am looking for at least 4 Masters students and 4 PhD students that would be interested in representing and voting for the graduate students during these Faculty meetings. If it is a question of commitment, remember that you do not have to attend every single Faculty meetings as by having 8+ students, at least 4 should be available.

Thank you to those students that have attend the Faculty meetings so far. And please let me know if anyone would be interested in attending Faculty meetings in this next academic year! Please let me know by next Wednesday (13 September before 17:00).
