Dear Svandish,

I am a recently retired petroleum geologist.  However, I did my PhD thesis
on a Miocene Volcanic centre in the East African Rift.  I will be visiting
Iceland from 6th to 15th July.  I will be in Reykjavik on the 6th, 7th, 8th
and 15th.  I would very much appreciate an introduction to a geology
student who would be prepared to show me some of the geological sites.  I
would of course be happy to pay him or her the going rate for showing me
round.

I would be most grateful if you would help.  If I have not addressed my
request to the right person, would you please pass it on to whoever might
be able to help me.
