Dear future delegate,

We welcome you to participate in the 10th annual Icelandic MUN conference
to be held in Reykjavik on the 15-17th of February 2013!

MUN stands for Model United Nations which is an academic simulation of a
United Nations council meeting where an individual or a small group
represents each of the UN countries involved in the real council.
Participants research their country, take on roles as diplomats,
investigate international issues, debate, deliberate, consult, and then
develop solutions to world problems. The council will tackle a set topic
and try to come to an agreement and put out a resolution to solve the
matter. This year we will be simulating the United Nations Security
Council (UNSC) and the topic will be the situation in Mali. Novices are
especially encouraged to come and give it a try!

Registration is by e-mail at mun at mun.is, please include: your name,
nationality, age, e-mail address, phone number, country preference and
former (if any) MUN experience. Delegate registration fee is: 3500 ISK
($27, £17 or €20) per delegate. The deadline for registration is the 4th
of February.
