The next Friday seminar will be held by Gro Brikfeldt Pedersen entitled: "Frozen martian lahars? Emplacement mechanisms and geologic impact of Utopia-Elysium flows, Mars".
Gro is a post doc here at the University since 2011, working on geomorphological analysis of Icelandic volcanoes for development of new mapping tools. Gro did her primary studies at Aarhus University, Denmark from 2002-2011 with stays abroad at Hawaii Volcano Observatory; Brown University Rhode Island and at UNIS, Svalbard. Gro´s PhD project dealt with analyzing Elysium volcanic province on Mars.
