Netverðlaun Foldu fyrir árið 2011 verða afhent fimmtudaginn 1. mars kl.
12-13 í salnum á 3. hæð.
Sigrún Hreinsdóttir, handhafi Netverðlauna 2010, mun halda fyrirlestur sem
ber titilinn:

*"The 100th year anniversary of the 1912 Novarupta eruption (and my trips
to the Valley of Ten Thousand Smokes)"*

Dear all,

 The Folda Internet Award for 2011 will be awarded on Thursday 1. March at
12-13 in the 3rd floor meeting room.
Sigrún Hreinsdóttir, the recipient of the Internet award for 2010, will
give a presentation titled:


 *"The 100th year anniversary of the 1912 Novarupta eruption (and my trips
to the Valley of Ten Thousand Smokes)".*

Netverðlaun Foldu eru veitt árlega einum starfsmanni eða framhaldsnema á
Jarðvísindastofnun sem viðurkenning fyrir heimasíðu sem er í senn
upplýsandi um viðkomandi starfsmann/nemanda, áhugaverð, fræðandi og vel við
haldið. *Tilgangur verðlaunanna er jafnframt að hvetja starfsmenn og
nemendur stofnunarinnar til að halda úti góðum heimasíðum um sig og sínar
rannsóknir.*

The Folda Internet Award are awarded yearly to a staff member or graduate
student at the Institute of Earth Sciences as an aknowledgement of a
webpage that is informative about the individual, interesting, educational
and regularly updated. *The purpose of the awards is to encourage the staff
and graduate students of the Institute to keep informative websites about
themselves and their research.  ***
