Subject: 4th International Student Symposium

Dear Professor,

As a lecturer at the Institute of Linguistic and Preparatory Studies at
Charles University in Prague, Czech Republic, I am writing to ask you to
draw your students' attention to a five-day students leadership conference
taking place in Prague on January 10-15. This conference, the 4th
International Student Symposium, will be open to forty selected students
from more than two dozen countries as well as from all over the United
States.

This symposium offers young people a unique educational opportunity to
broaden their understanding of the world, while developing critical skills
in the art of negotiation and communication. The conference will feature
distinguished international experts on global issues, and visits to the
Ministry of Foreign Affairs and selected foreign embassies in Prague.
Additionally, students will participate in a UN crisis simulation and
"Speaking Workshops" giving them a chance to debate and critique specific
topics dealing with democracy, nationalism, military activities and European
integration.

The registration fee for this conference is EUR 650 (or equivalent).
This registration fee includes hotel accommodations, food, activities, and
all transportation to the conference site upon arrival in the Czech
Republic.

For further information about the application process and the
conference, please contact me directly at a.critchlow at student-symposium.com
or visit the conference website at www.student-symposium.com.

I want to thank you in advance for any students you may wish to
recommend to this conference.

                                            Agnieszka Critchlow
                                              Program Director
